Avensole Vineyard and Winery
Formerly known as Van Roekel, Avensole Winery has a long history in Temecula’s wine valley. The property’s first planting was in 1969, and the vineyard completed in 1986 by Bud Van Roekel.
In 2014, the Lytton family purchased the property, and today it’s gaining a reputation as one of the valley’s best.
Despite the long history, you’ll often hear Avensole called a “new winery.” The current owners gave the property a mega-makeover, including adding and renovating buildings; the whole place got a polish. They’re not just new owners, but ones who’ve developed the winery into their vision.
Avensole’s New World California-style wines are rich and flavorful, and their focus is on Zinfandel.
